As 'SYBIL' arrived. There was not really a lot wrong with the vehicle. However, the new owner wanted 'SYBIL' to look her best. |
All the extra non-standard wiring and the indicators need removing. |
| The body has been removed revealing the chassis which is in good condition but the wrong colour. | |
| Just the rolling chassis now. | The engine doesn't need much doing to it, just a clean and check over. |
| The chassis has been cleaned and painted the correct colour. | The bulkhead has also been cleaned and re-sprayed. |
| Now everything starts to go back together. The refurbished axles have been fitted. | The engine is replaced and the bulkhead goes back on. |
The capstan winch was taken apart, cleaned an replaced on the chassis. |
| The rear tub goes back on. | The galvanised cappings go on, along with the lower doors. |
| The rest of the bodywork gradually goes back on. | |
| The roof and sides are replaced. | Just waiting for the alpine lights and tropical roof to be fitted. |
The finished vehicle. Isn't she lovely? (Even though we do say so ourselves!) |
