FOUNDER
|
|
| BRIAN | |
|
|
Brian started the
business in 1968 having been told by the local council that he
could not work from home. His first Land Rover was a 1949
model which he used daily in the early '50's, until it was
accidentally rolled. Co-founder of the All Wheel Drive Club
and early restorer of military vehicles in the sixties,
Brian's experience makes him knowledgeable on anything four
wheel drive. Hobbies include vintage Bentleys, Morris Minors
and owl breeding. Although Brian has taken a back seat from
the business, he is often called upon for his superior
knowledge of the Land Rover products. In 1968 Brian purchased the amphibious Land Rover (APGP) which started the Dunsfold Collection. |

| DIANE | |
|
|
Diane joined Dunsfold in February 2002 to run the accounts department. She has absolutely no interest in Land Rovers whatsoever! However, we are trying to bring her round to the correct way of thinking. We think she would look really nice in a soft top. (Freelander that is!!!). |
| WORKSHOP | |
| ERIC | |
|
Eric started working at
Dunsfold around 1986. After
a period of vehicle preparation and travelling around
Africa, he returned to Dunsfold in 1990 to run the workshop
department. He is always happy to discuss your requirements.
Eric has been interested in land Rovers for about 25 years,
his first being a 110 Station Wagon.
He currently drives a 50th Anniversary Discovery. After 20 odd years at Dunsfold, Eric has now hung up his spanners and is taking a well earned retirement. We wish him well. |
| ROB | |
|
First contact with Rob
was when he popped in and asked to borrow a spanner for his
motorbike. Rob started working at Dunsfold in 1968 straight
from school. He did have a seven year break, but just had to
come back. His first Land Rover was a SI 80", followed by an
ex-military SIIA. Rob is also a part time Firefighter. |
|
| DARRYL | |
![]() |
Darryl has worked at
Dunsfold since 1996. He has owned various Land Rovers, his
first being a Lightweight. The second one was a 1967 SII,
which
he bought from Dunsfold
as a derelict. Darryl
completely rebuilt the vehicle and re-engined it with a V8.
Darryl currently owns a 1964 SII 88" and an early Range Rover. He also owns a 1943 Willys Jeep and enjoys off-road driving on a KTM 450 EXC.

| DIANE 2 | |
|
After four years of
training, we have finally managed to get Diane to work a
vacuum cleaner. She seems to have finally found her true
vocation and usually does an excellent job. However, we do
have to keep telling her not to sweep the dirt under the
carpet! Diane has also been promoted to the position of Tea Lady, but she is a bit stingy with the doughnuts. |
