This is the ideal vehicle for a collector or using as a shooting Brake!. It has been dry stored for the last 20 years after release from the Military. It was used for a wedding 3 years ago and has only covered 100 miles in all that time. The Speedo shows 4300 miles which seems to be genuine. The Army Registration number is 23EL97 and the conversion was carried out by 34 Central Workshop REME in 1968. The date of build we think is 1964 but a Heritage certificate will comfirm that. There are a few storage dings and dongs that need a little fettling and it would benefit from some paintwork, but otherwise the vehicle is in A1 condition. The stop go signal system is fitted and works. The white trim and carpets are all there. Some of the chrome has been re done. It has a U.K. Registration and will be MOT Tested. I have owned it since 2000/2001 and during this time have completed only 3,500 miles, all local runs. It has been garaged and well looked after replacing/repairing everything that has been needed. A rare opportunity to buy an original and virtually rust free Lincoln Green Range Rover. Supplied by Sturgess & Sons Ltd, Leicester in October 1979 to a prominent local figure & Land Owner who kept the vehicle until 1996. It was then sold to 2nd owner who kept it for 3 months the it passed on the third owner who kepted in a private collection and used it on high days and holidays spending the rest of the time in a dehumidified garage alongside a number of other valuable cars. In 2010 the car was sold into another collection where again it had very little use and was obviously well cared for. It comes with MOTs back to 1997 and several stamps in the Original Passport to service, (1,684, 19,229, 30,580 and 68,359) It is believed that in its early years regular maintenance and servicing were carried out on the Estate. Original engine, gearbox and axles. Over the past 4 years it has had : New inner and outer wings Repaint Engine rebuild Refurbished interior (door cards, trim panels etc) and new period seats - all from Nationwide Trim and New tyres. Being a '73 car, it will be tax exempt from April next year No power steering and no overdrive, but it has the original PVC flooring in the front and rear, the bonnet mirrors are good and all the lettering is correct. No PVC transmission mat - has carpet. Bad points - the wheels have been refurbished but aren't perfect, the outer sills look a little shabby, the radiator is original, the rear wheel arches could do with a tidy up / repaint on the interior, it's missing it's rear wash wipe, and the rubber body mounts are perished.
